Often art teachers want to fit more art history into their curriculum, but finding the time can sometimes be difficult. Art Movement Morsels are quick snippets about different aspects of art history designed to be delivered in one or two periods. They are perfect for those times between projects, for early finishers, or even for a sub.

What Makes Up A Morsel

Included is a PowerPoint presentation to be used with your class that contains videos from the ISB Art History Channel and a dedicated Kahoot!. There are also teacher notes to explain how to use the different parts of the lesson. The main activity is a written assignment that asks students to analyze various art forms according to Form, Theme, and Context.

The videos and Kahoots! on their own are a great way to provide exposure to the topics. It is not necessary to have your students complete the written assignment. If you want to use the AI feature in the written assignments your students must be able to access Poe.com.  You should speak to your IT department before assigning a Morsel’s written assignment.
